Cookie Notice

Last updated October 2, 2026

This Cookie Notice explains the cookies, browser storage and similar technologies used by CinOS, the service operated by Cin Coast Realty ("we", "us"), and the choices you have. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. "Local storage" and "session storage" are similar places in your browser where a website can keep information. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab; local storage stays until it is cleared.

In the CinOS app (app.cinos.ai)

These are needed for the app to work, so they cannot be turned off in the app:

  • Sign-in cookies. Our sign-in system sets a cookie that keeps you signed in, a short-lived cookie that briefly remembers your session so pages load faster, and temporary cookies used while you sign in with Google. They are removed or expire when you sign out or your session ends.
  • App data in your browser. The app keeps a copy of your account's data in your browser's local storage so it works quickly and can keep your work if the connection drops. That copy is synced with our servers. Signing out clears it.
  • Preferences. Your theme (dark or light), brightness and similar display choices are kept in local storage on your device.
  • Installed app and notifications. If you install CinOS as an app, it keeps a cache of app files in your browser so it can open offline. If you turn on push notifications, your browser gives us a subscription address for sending them to that device.

The app does not use advertising cookies, analytics software, session recording or chat widgets. Fonts are served from our own servers.

Some app features load content from other companies, which receive your browser's IP address and may set their own cookies under their own policies:

  • maps from Mapbox, whose map software also sends usage data to Mapbox;
  • embedded maps and place search from Google Maps;
  • images from Unsplash, such as the photo on the sign-in page;
  • profile pictures from Gravatar, when you look one up.

On subscribers' public pages

Real estate agents and teams who use CinOS can publish public pages, such as a property search, landing pages, an open-house sign-in page, video message pages and a client portal. On these pages:

  • Your privacy choice. When an agent has connected an advertising account, a banner asks whether you accept advertising cookies. Your answer is stored in local storage on that site so we don't ask again. You can change it at any time with the Privacy choices button, which also offers "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information".
  • Advertising tags only after you accept. Meta's pixel and Google's tags (Google Analytics and Google Ads) load only after you choose Accept. Until then, and if you choose Reject or "Do Not Sell or Share", they are not loaded and nothing is sent to those companies from the page. Once loaded, they may set cookies such as Meta's _fbp and _fbc and Google's _ga, and they receive the address of the page you are on and your browser's IP address.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal: advertising tags don't load, the banner doesn't ask, and form details are not sent to advertising platforms.
  • How you arrived. These pages note how you arrived (for example, the campaign tags in the link you followed). This is stored in your browser only after you accept advertising cookies. If you submit a form, it may be included with what you submit so the agent can see which campaign brought you.
  • Property search. If you save a home or register on an agent's property search, the site remembers that you registered and which homes you saved, in local storage on your device.
  • Outside search providers. Some agents' search pages show a property search provided by a separate IDX company. That company's code runs inside a sandboxed frame on the page, walled off from CinOS, so it can't read CinOS data or the page around it, but it may still use its own cookies and tracking under its own policies.
  • Client portal. The portal keeps your sign-in in session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab, and keeps preferences such as your saved signature style in local storage. The portal never loads advertising tags.
  • Open-house sign-in and video message pages do not load advertising tags.

In email

Email sent through CinOS may contain a small image and links that pass through CinOS, so the sender can see whether the email was opened or a link was clicked. Many email apps let you block images, which stops the open record. This tracking is on by default, and each subscriber account can turn it off for its marketing email, its one-to-one email, or both.

Your choices

  • Use the banner or the Privacy choices button on a public page, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
  • Clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. If you clear them in the CinOS app, you will be signed out, and changes that have not synced yet may be lost.
  • Most browsers let you block cookies. If you block essential cookies, you won't be able to sign in to the app.
